Just a little about me

Back again to tell you more about my experience of being paralysed.with my level of injury not all the muscles work in my arms,I remember I had 2 bolts screwed into my temples with weights on the back of the bed to keep my neck straight and to let it heal,Id never experienced that level of pain,the cleaners used to bang the weights at times,the language from my bed was very colourful to say the least.three months I stayed like that,staring at the ceiling for one month I was completely paralysed but thank someone up there, down there my arms slowly began to move. But no hand /finger movement that hurt more than never ever walking again.Everybody who. Came to see me seemed to know or heard about someone who ended up walking or I'd hear that I had to believe,want it,blah blah enough,it drove me mad,when the. Day came that the bolts came out of my head,a consultant walked behind my bed and just unscrewed them to delight,the pain was out of this world but I was free from my shackles.when i tried to lit my arms in the air they would collapse and hit me in the face,i found out that i haven't any Triceps that worked,deep joy i thought can it get any worse then i sneezed and it was a tiny little pathetic ACHOO that was the icing on the this new life of mine,after a few x-rays to make my neck was stabilised it was time to get up into a wheelchair they hoisted me out of bed in a sling,i absolutely hated it,i felt like a piece of meat at a butchers anyway down into the char i went and within 2 minuets of being up id passed out,they tip you back to get the blood back into your head

Hi again all,.,.well the maggots have been and gone,.,they've cleaned my wound up to the extent that I've now got a V.A.C therapy unit fitted,.,.I'll try and put a link to explain it,.,.I think I've found someone special,.more on that later,.maybe!!

Hospital waiting times

I had to go to hospital yesterday.,.the Ambulance picked me up about 12.00pm, I have to go on a stretcher because of my Sore/Wound on my hip,.,I'm not keen on it at all but I've got to go,so I get there about 1.00pm,my appointment lasted about 10mins then with a scared look on here face Nurse Bird told me I'd have to wait till 5,00pm for Transport,,.,.Yippee I cried out in sheer delight so several cups of tea later I'm off on my travels again.Travelling backwards in what is essentially a fitted out Transit van don't half make you feel sick which I did .,eventually got home after about an hour of travel wonderment ,.Back to my pit of doom,lol,....What Happens next is the Deepest of deep joys.,.,.Peace & Love my friends

Welcome home

I heard a knock on the front door at7.30am,then the back door,,then to my sheer delight I heard 2 men in my back garden,they knocked on my bedroom window,,it was the Ambulance,,I told them to go away very "politely",,After several phone calls I found out they'd got the times wrong,,so I'm now going to Hospital on Monday,,,Why do people treat me so differently just because I can't walk,it drives me mad but I just have to accept..,.I've no choice anyway I am happy at the moment all will be revealed soon,.,.so c ya next blog,.,.,.Peace & Respect.,.,*~*,.,.

Well my little friends have gone home now,.,.My wound is looking a lot cleaner and I'm having another treatment of the greedy little monsters on Friday .,then that should give me a good chance of it finally healing once and for all...Had a nice Chinese last night with some friends...I was having a wash this morning and I thought the maggots had escaped but it was a couple of grains of rice in my bed...I'm off to hospital tomorrow....I think a little snooze is in order.,.,. Banging Headache

I haven't had the best of days hence blogging so late,.,.I had a DYSREFLEXIC attack,.,.I'm going to try and explain briefly.,.,.My blood pressure goes sky high and it can lead to a stroke or even death,.,.,(.Autonomic dysreflexia, "AD" also known as "autonomic hyperreflexia or Hyperreflexia, is a potentially life threatening condition which can be considered a medical emergency requiring immediate attention)

. I'm feeling pretty good now,.,.Right my friends time for Bo peeps,.,.Sweet dreams ,.,.

Finally I think my little friends are earning there keep,,they looked a lot fatter this morning,.,.,This has got to work. All I do know is that my head is fried with being stuck in bed,.it'll be over 2years soon that I've been in a bed or hospital,.,.every day of 2010 I spent in a bed or in hospital,.,.I hate it when I'll get up again,I'll pass out from all the blood rushing to my feet,.,I'll get there,.I just want my life back again,.,.I'll blog again later today,.bye for now,.,.,.,.

Nurse Ratched

I'm sure the nurse who came today was care in the community!!!!anyway,.,I've had to stick the Maggots in place again,.,.

It's hot today,I'm just lying on the bed with the fan on,.,.I even had Ice-Cream for my breakfast and know I'm just watching the F1 at Silverstone,.,I've got to go to Hospital on Thursday,.,I might do a separate page of my raving days,if anyone has stories would you e-mail me them at nigelphillips69@gmail.com ,.,.I used to love it,.,.,.I miss being able to dance ,.,.righty ho it's signing of for now I go,.,.,.Peace & Respect ,.,.

Do Maggots Drink

I thought sod I'll have a beer and then I got to thinking If the alcohol in my blood stream would get to my friendly little friends,.,.,.

If I suddenly see glow-sticks and hear whistles I'll know the answer is yes,.,.,.,.I got a bit concerned when the Sister said if you see red fluid seeping through the dressing not to worry,.,.great,.,.Thanks I thought for that little nugget of info,.,.,.I'm slowly getting into this "Blogging lark" ,.,.,.when "Emmerdale" did there Tetra bit I'd love to know what you thought,.,.E-Mail me ,.,.Go on,.,.nigelphillips69@gmail.com

Maggot Man

After a long wait,,I finally have the maggots in place on my wound on my right hip,I'm glad in a way that I can't feel them,.,.this should be the beginning of the end of the hip saga about 2yrs ago I fell out of my chair and my hip bone compounded the flesh,it was all dead underneath my skin and I was in a dark place so I never really looked after myself,,I might come back to the why's one blog in the future,,so anyway I remember one morning there was a rather large hole there and 2yrs later I'm still suffering from my own stupidity,,,,.,.,.
The Maggots stay in place for 5 days and with a bit of luck they've done there job,,it'll be clean and should promote the healing,,I've missed to much of life and I need to catch up ,.,.,.think I'm going for a little snooze now,,,oh yeah I'm stuck in bed for the forciable future,.,.,.As Arnie says ,,I'll be back,,,.,.

Ive been awake a few hours now after a patchy bout of sleep,.,the old legs were doing the dying fly in bed (SPASM),.,sometimes it has been known to tie them to the bed but not in the way I'd wish,.,.surely,,oh sorry,.I'm looking at the T.V and the news is on,,they don't expect the " man on the street" to buy that they closed the NOTW for honorable reasons as we so know there will be a "SUN ON SUNDAY" ,same shit different title.,.,.,.,Search Amazon.com for Ipad

Well,I'm trying another App on my iPad to integrate with my blog,,,,anyway,,,I should of had my first treatment of "Maggot Therapy" today but as per usual one was let down AGAIN but as they say hey ho,,it's been a long old road just to be able to sit in a wheelchair again,.,.after I've got more used to using the blogspot site I'm going to tell you all some stories from my rather bizarre life I've had so far ,.,.,.stories from before I broke my neck and the tales from after now I'm thinking of some of the things I've done I can hardly believe them myself........so signing off again,.back very soon ,,,,please write to me,,,,we'll have a riot or maybe not but write anyway ....

Thoughts running round my head.......
